Over the course of a year and a half, I had the privilege of contributing to several key Forbes projects, including Accolades, Profile Editor, Typography, Lists, and Navigation. Each initiative was focused on enhancing the overall user experience on Forbes' platform. These projects aimed to refine both the visual and functional aspects of the website, ensuring a seamless experience for its vast audience. The challenge was to consistently deliver high-quality solutions that aligned with both user expectations and Forbes’ branding, while also accommodating complex requirements from various stakeholders.
The primary goal across all projects was to improve the Forbes user experience, though the specific challenges varied from typography choices to navigation flow enhancements. One key issue was that clients didn’t always have a clear vision of their needs, which required a strong ideation process and close collaboration to align objectives. Each project necessitated a balance between maintaining the integrity of Forbes' design system and introducing fresh, user-focused improvements. Through iterative testing and thoughtful design choices, we aimed to exceed client expectations and create a more cohesive and engaging user experience.
